Meditation, Embodiment, and Practices for Presence

Calm is a way of coming back into contact with yourself.

At House of Armida, Calm brings together practices that support nervous system settling, embodied awareness, and clarity. This is a space to slow down, regulate, and reconnect with your body and attention in a practical, human, and sustainable way.

Calm here is not an ideal state, but a lived experience that can be returned to again and again.

Finding Direction - The Calm of the Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean Archetypes are a set of 12 archetypes created to offer clarity, perspective, and direction.

Coming from Mediterranean cultures, landscapes, and values, these archetypes reflect ways of living that are closely linked to calm: a different relationship with time, with the body, with cycles, and with what truly matters. They carry qualities such as patience, continuity, dignity, sensual presence, and respect for natural rhythms.

Working with the archetypes helps you step back from mental noise and emotional overload, offering an external point of reference when things feel tangled or unclear. They are practical tools for reflection, orientation, and decision-making.

There is a clear way of working with the Mediterranean Archetypes, whether for personal reflection or guided exploration. They are designed to support calm through understanding, perspective, and a sense of place within a wider human story.
